Installation
A poetic approach to the birth of a mountain: its germ is contained in a woven structure of wild clematis resembling a seed. The work links the site's history (former agricultural estate), its environment (the mountain contained in the seed) and its present (ECIM, an artistic creation space). It stands like a beacon in the landscape, close to a cairn; its openwork character includes the surrounding space. It is also a meeting between the immutable mineral and the ephemeral plant: two elements in tension, one enveloping the other in a net. When the plant weaving deteriorates, the mineral element collapses, imploding from within, in this belly of air.
