Installation
This installation links two plants—vine and wild clematis—both woody and sharing similar climbing strategies with tendrils. Tendrils form spirals and allow vines/lianas to grip supports to reach light. With its succession of windings, the work symbolizes evolution and dynamism; each loop is a cycle of transformation. At Pressoria (dedicated to champagne history and production), the spirals evoke stages such as vine work and harvest, pressing, alcoholic fermentation, blending, bottling, aging, riddling, disgorging, dosage and dressing. Installed in AY en Champagne at Pressoria for Vignart (festival of contemporary art and land art in the Champagne vineyard).
